Marcos Gerena pitched well, but the Grand Marais Voyageurs still lost the game, falling, 3-2, to the Marquette Smelters at Ballpark by the Marsh. Absalón Músquez recorded his 3rd save for Marquette. The victory makes Marquette 15-10.

Marquette used a timely hit from Bobby Hawley to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Smelters ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"Every loss hurts," said Grand Marais manager Sean Webster. "But this was a tough one."
