Despite the rain, the fans at Syrup Park enjoyed a good ballgame.

The Norwalk Maples picked up a win at Syrup Park, downing the Buffalo Hopper Boys, 4-3. On the mound for Norwalk was right-hander Eduardo Fajardo, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Maples sit in last place in the Eastern Great Lakes Association League of Lake Erie with a record of 12-20.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Norwalk. That's when Alejandro Hernández hit a solo home run off 34-year old right-handed pitcher Scott Hawley to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"The crowd was boisterous today," said Hernández.
