Voyageurs Lose, 3-2, as Whalebacks Rally
Superior starter Toribio Gamboa pitched well against the Grand Marais Voyageurs at Edmund Fitzgerald Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. The Whalebacks, at 12-21, sit in last place in the Western Great Lakes Association League of Lake Superior.

René Pedroza was the walk-off hero for Superior. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Whalebacks designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"I was the aggressor," said Gamboa. "No doubt about it."
