Voyageurs Pull Out Late-Game Win, 3-2
The Grand Marais-Sault St. Marie game took longer to complete because of the rain. But it was worth it for the home team in the end.

In a low-scoring contest between the Grand Marais Voyageurs and the Sault St. Marie Rapids, Luke Paterson, who is tied for 2nd in the WGLA in quality starts with 6, proved to be the difference. The Grand Marais left-hander earned props for his performance in the 3-2 Voyageurs win. The 4th-place Voyageurs now have a win-loss record of 18-17.

Ernesto Arúz was the walk-off hero for Grand Marais. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Voyageurs pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The ending was a real humdinger," Arúz told reporters after the game.
