Las Piedras and Humacao took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
The Las Piedras Menestrales picked up a win at Coliseo Báquides Linares, knocking off the Humacao Milagrosos, 4-2. Starting pitcher Sebastián Suárez played a key role in the triumph. Las Piedras is first in the Liga Hostos Este with a record of 28-17.
The Menestrales got a big at-bat from second baseman Homero Aguilar. For the game, Aguilar was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Las Piedras a 2-0 lead.
"When you're losing, the game looks more difficult to play than it is," said Humacao manager Eduardo Argueta.
