In Extras, Commodores Beat Rose Stockings
The Erie Commodores and Mentor Rose Stockings rewarded fans hoping for a nail-biter.

In a low-scoring tilt between the Erie Commodores and the Mentor Rose Stockings, Vaughan Mullins, who is tied for 10th in the EGLA in quality starts with 14, was the difference-maker. The Erie right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win in 10 innings. The win elevated the Commodores to 41-41.

The Commodores nabbed the win, in part because of first baseman Eugenio Romero. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered the game-winning run-scoring single.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Erie skipper Chris Lehmann. "I can't complain."
