Whalebacks Earn Win with Late Rally
Superior and Grand Marais got after it at Ballpark by the Marsh.

Superior beat Grand Marais at Ballpark by the Marsh, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to third baseman Ludovico Castello. He went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. Chris Brierley recorded his 5th save for Superior.

Had Telégono Soto not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Soto hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Whalebacks.

"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Castello.

The Whalebacks raised their record to 42-58.
