Hopper Boys Take Nail-Biter Over Commodores
Buffalo Silo was the site of some high drama.

Erie got a terrific game from left fielder Pascual Rendón. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Buffalo, 6-5, in 11 innings. Rendón went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Red Donahue was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-1. The losing pitcher was Luis Toledo.

The Hopper Boys got a clutch hit from center fielder Amílcar Almaraz. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Hopper Boys.

"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Almaraz told the Buffalo Daily News.

The victory gives the Hopper Boys a record of 55-55.
