The Buffalo Hopper Boys defeated the Meadville Zips, 12-11, in 10 innings. Doing his part was designated hitter Urbano González, who was 4 for 5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Alejandro Urbina snagged the win in relief. He goes to 17-8 on the season. Mamerto Hernández suffered the loss. The Hopper Boys are now 61-53.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, González hit a cutter from Mamerto Hernández for a run-scoring single. The Hopper Boys, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

Meadville manager Doc Landis said he was disappointed with the loss. "Whenever you score that many runs, you expect to win the game."
