The Buffalo Hopper Boys defeated the Meadville Zips, 6-4, at XYZ Stadium. Leading the charge for Buffalo was shortstop Premislao Haro. He went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times. Buffalo reliever Red Donahue picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Marcelino Jaques took the loss. The Hopper Boys now own a record of 58-59.

Amílcar Almaraz came through with a big-time hit for Buffalo. The center fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 6-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

Almaraz called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."
