The Culebra Tortugas beat the Guayama Hechiceros, 5-2, at Coliseo Germán Márquez. The win was due in part to designated hitter Bertrand Macfarlane, who was 4-4 with 4 singles. The winner was Culebra reliever Jean-Noël Pinault, now 3-10. The loser was Vittorio Gambachini. Today's win puts Culebra at 49-91, while Guayama falls to 48-88.

Culebra used a timely hit from Julio Orellana to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Tortugas ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"We did a lot of things right," said Macfarlane.
