Rizo Shackles Canovanas Monday, September 29th , 1913 Eduino Rizo kept the Canovanas Chupacabras hitters from doing much damage at El Naranjal. Canovanas could only muster 6 hits and draw no walks against the right-handed Rizo, who controlled them throughout the game. Las Marias won the contest, 1-0. Rizo added 2 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Rizo told reporters after the shutout win.
