Zacarías Snags WGLA Top Hurler Trophy Wednesday, October 1st , 1913 An outstanding 4-0 record in September earned Luis Zacarías the Pitcher of the Month Award in the Western Great Lakes Association. When his name was penciled in to start on the Grand Marais lineup card, it meant trouble for opposing teams. In 36 innings of work, Zacarías limited opposing batters to 26 base hits and a .203 batting average. He notched 22 strikeouts, issued 13 walks and had a 1.50 ERA. So far this season, Zacarías has a 22-11 record, 34 starts, 278.2 innings, 192 strikeouts and a 3.07 ERA. |
