1913 was a very good year for Sheboygan Brats first baseman Eugenio Murillo, this season's Western Great Lakes Association Hero of Labor recipient.

Murillo hit .343 with a .462 on-base percentage. He had 145 hits, 32 doubles, 5 triples, 38 home runs, 98 RBIs and scored 108 runs.

He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Esteban Navarro of the Saginaw Joes finished second in voting, while M. Izquierdo of the Marquette Smelters finished third.
